Custom Built Trailer for Two Specialist Open Wheeler Race Cars

When we received the call to design a double deck specialist open wheeler race car trailer Derek from Lockyer Trailers immediately took up the challenge.

With a substantial history in motorsport Derek quickly drew on all of the ideas from trailers he had seen or used throughout his motorsport career and designed this very unique specialist custom trailer.

The trailer is 5.5 m long x 2.48 m wide x 2.2 m high. It features a V-Nose front section reducing wind drag and providing significant fuel efficiency for the tow vehicle.

With a host of features including 12 V winch down rear tailgate with extensions, pivoting winch down centre floor for top car loading with extended ramps, side opening hatches for tiedown access, personnel door, LED lights 12 V system powered by solar charging via regulator to on-board battery.

With a 1.6 ton payload this 3 ton ATM trailer offers versatility and function at the racetrack reducing the need for multiple vehicles to transport these unique specialist built open wheeler race cars.
